Description Russian WWII officer's visor cap; top of hat is olive drab twill weave fabric with red wool trim; lower section of hat is red wool with a gold metallic braided chain knotted and attached to each side with a gold button embossed with the Russian star and sickle and hammer; the front is decorated with a goldtone metal star and wings emblem on the top center and on the red section is a goldtone wreath surrounding a gold oval with a white center on which is a red star and gold sickle and hammer; the visor is made of black plastic; four pins are attached to the red trim on the top of the cap; one is in two parts the top of which is a red map of Russia and the bottom is a shield shape with a gold and red wreath and a blue and gold sickle and hammer; the second pin is a small red star frame in which is the photo of a man; the third pin is rectangular and includes the image of an airplane and the lettering "CCCP", "AH-225" and "USA '90"; the fourth pin is a red flag with gold lettering above a gold wreath around a white field on which is a red star; the hat is lined with satin; gray leather sweatband; leather label sewn to crown printed in gold ink: [arrowhead symbol] and five rows of Russian lettering, "56"
