Provenance Chair was owned by Charles D. Carter of Ardmore. Carter was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1907, and served until 1928, when defeated by Milburn Cartwright. Chair was purchased by Mr. Greene Reeder from Stella Carter, Mr. Carter's daughter.
