Description Indian figure; wood - New York City carving style used; painted; male statue; rectangular, black base - the top is green (supposed to look like grass); he is standing with one arm at his side holding a club; the other arm is at his waist and is holding an open box of cigars, "F.R. Rice & Co., Chief Cigars, St. Louis, MO"; the man has a colorfully painted shirt and shoes - various geometric designs across the yellow; there is a red sash at the waist with an ax tucked into the waistband; the man's cheeks are painted and he has on circular earrings; the man has long black hair running down his back and a yellow crown/headdress atop his head with green, red, orange, blue, and yellow feathers sticking out of it; there is a hollow hole atop the back of the figure's head
