Box with a latch down closure, Made with fibers, reeds and thread. Mostly the basketry is closely woven except for the bottom which is at least 1/4" spaced. Two porcelein doll fragments, #6981 were placed inside the box.
This object is not listed on any real inventory for the Merci Train (they probably are on the generalized list, that is not specific to which objects there were), however, they are printed within the time period and were located with the other objects from that collection.
