Description Walnut wood upholstered in dark floral pattern brocade-like fabric. The chair has an oval back. This is a low chair, measuring approx 15 inches from floor to top of seat. The feet are drilled to accept casters which are missing.

Provenance Item belonged to Mamie Lavonia Scott Hammonds, Executive Secretary to Gov. Henry S. Johnston, and who helped Mrs. Johnston to plan the Governor's House in the 1920s and who helped pick out the furniture. Mrs. Hammonds was active in political history of Oklahoma.
