Description non-ferrous metal match box case, once gold color now highly discolored, rectangle shaped with two openings for slideing matchbox in and out, and horizontal opening along the side to expose the side of box where matches are struck, an etched symbol or emblem on top of case that is very difficult to make out, below is inellegible writing on a horizontally spread scroll etching, the only letters that seem legible are "CE" at the end of the first word and "AFFIC" that seems to be the second word, there is a "diamond" matchbox inside of the case.

Provenance This belonged to Roy Neslon whose wife was the daughter of Theodore Filson and the granddaughter of Charles Filson, of Territorial Guthrie.
