Description Wood frame covered in cloth. Cloth has buckskin band cinched in back. Cloth covering dyed dark brown around outer edges of shield. Drawings on face of cloth depict an Indian man hunting with bow and arrow drawn. Buffalo in center of shield. 4 birds at cardinal directions. Paintings in brown and black. 2 locks of yellow horsehair tied to top of shield with thread. 2 eagle feathers with quills wrapped in red wool tied to sides of shield. 2 downy eagle feathers, one at top and one at bottom of shield (one at bottom missing). 5 brass bells on face of shield, 1 in center and 4 next to the feathers. 2 red wool strips approx. 22" long by 4" wide tied to bottom of shield at each side. 2 eagle feathers with quills wrapped in red wool tied to top sides of each wool strip. 1 eagle feather with quill wrapped in red wool tied to bottom of each wool strip. Rolled cloth loop for hanging at top. A 3 pole wood stand held together at top by large screw made for holding shield.
