Edison Standard Phonograph. Cylinder type, portable model in golden oak case with separate tin and brass horn. Serial # 576664. "Edison Standard Phonograph" on the front of case in gold and black. Latched on each side to secure the lid (.2); a handle on top. .3- is the brass horn and .4-is the detachable crank handle made of black painted iron and wooden end. Several patent dates, the last being May 31, 1898, on same piece of metal is "Manufactured under the patents of Thomas A. Edison at Orange, NJ USA". this is model 'C'.
